I once had blood drawn and looked at the greatly magnified blood cells on a computer screen. Countless round cell bodies moved together, their denser centers filled with oxygen. Darting along the freeway, we can imagine ourselves in our car and those around us as blood cells flowing through our child’s body. Our cars are the round red bodies that bring oxygen and life to our child. We notice other blood cells passing us by also bringing energy to our child, and we notice blood cells coursing toward us within vessels traveling along a different route. Some are brand new, and others are old. Some are powerful and others are sluggish. We visualize ourselves on this wondrous journey, as we connect with our child’s body and we breathe deep as we infuse ourselves with oxygen on our way to our child’s heart.
This is also a wonderful time to explore the tremendous space above and surrounding us. The sky seems to go on forever. We may not realize just how much space there is within our bodies. We become so cramped, physically and emotionally, that we disconnect from much of the energy flowing around us. The meditation in Appendix C explores our connection to our child in a way that opens us up to infinite space and time; space and time with which we can more fully connect with our child.
