Our souls open --

Growing, energizing, loving.

Bath Time and The Womb

A bath can be an experience deeper than our day to day lives. It can be a time for contemplation and meditation. When I am in the bath, I often times find myself preoccupied with things that are stressful in nature and not an aide to relaxation or mindful parenting. Our bath can be thought of as a state much like the state our children were in during their time in the womb. We are surrounded in water, growing, gathering energy, and being one with the cosmos. During your bath, think of the state of pregnancy. Breath deeply, imagine your child safe, warm, and loved during their stay in the womb, and smile. This can also be practiced while swimming in a pool or lake, and while bathing your child.
