As my teen daughter struggles to find her independence, her sense of responsibility and her own identity, it was I who resisted.
It
was not until I learned to let go that the beauty of her character and loving nature was revealed to me. When I stopped grasping at
her to keep her close, she willingly drew near.
She now shares her inner life with us, seeks our counsel and aspires to earn
our trust.
