At a Birthday Party

Our child’s birthday marks a splendid moment.  It is an exciting time for them, and it can be a very satisfying time for us.  While we celebrate the birthday once a year, we cherish our child’s birth all the time.  Of course, the birthday party serves as a cue for us to actually take the time to celebrate. This verse is meant to be used not only when we celebrate our child’s birth, but when we celebrate any child’s birth, or, for that matter, anyone else’s birth, including our own.  Reflect on the joyful smile and laughter that fills such occasions.  We imagine the smile on our child’s face and the smile it brings to our face. Whose smile is bigger?
